The Ryzen 3 1300x was launched in 2017. I have been using it at the start or December 2018. This is a 4 core 4 thread CPU. I currently use it in my PC build. This is the specs of my PC:
CPU: Ryzen 3 1300x CPU Cooler: Antec Mercury RGB 120 Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m-DS3h
RAM: Apacer Panther Rage 8GB 2666mhz
GPU: Inno 3D GTX 1060 6GB
Power supply: 500 watts (forgot what brand)
Currently this CPU is working absolutely fine. I did not overclock it at all since I think it is good enough. I play rainbow six siege and Ghost recon breakpoint on my PC. So for rainbow six siege I run the game at about 80-100 fps at ultra settings. I don't experience any bottleneck at all. For Ghost Recon breakpoint I run the game at high settings at around 60-80 fps with no bottleneck at all too. So far I think it is still a good CPU for 2020.
Is it worth it?
If I had a choice to build my PC again at 2020 I would of gotten a different CPU. The Ryzen 3 1300x cost around $230. There are a lot more choices for Ryzen 3 CPU. If I was going to build a budget PC I would go with the Ryzen 3 3200g or the intel 13 9100f. They are both incredibly cheap and deliver great peformance. I do not think the Ryzen 3 1300x is worth it in 2020.
